Maribel Alonso

Maribel Alonso works as a Technical Information Specialist for the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline. Maribel has a B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from the University of West Virginia. Maribel started working for FSIS’ Food Safety Education Staff in March 2003. Since then, she has been dedicated to the education of consumers in food safety and to increase awareness of the risk associated with foodborne illness among Spanish-speaking communities in the United States.
