Dr. Linda M. Katz
Dr. Linda M. Katz is the Interim Chief Medical Officer for the FDA’s Center of Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) and the Director for the Office of Cosmetics and Colors located in College Park, Maryland. The Center is responsible for protecting the public's health by ensuring that the nation's food supply is safe, sanitary, wholesome, and honestly labeled.
Dr. Katz is a physician certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
She holds a B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.P.H. in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan, and an M.D. from the University of Connecticut. She completed her training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the George Washington University Medical Center. In addition, she maintains faculty appointments at the George Washington University School of Medicine and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
